nice car

vroom I'm not really very car crazy, but I do enjoy driving a good car. I've actually only been driving for a few years, since I was 18 actually, so I guess that makes it 7. I've had the pleasure of driving both left hand and right hand drive cars, since I've lived in both USA and Singapore. I've only driven 3-4 cars regularly though, unless you count my previous Michigan housemate's car. He lets me drive it sometimes when my car's in the workshop, or when he needs a ride somewhere and doesn't wanna drive(basically ah mat duty). Anyway, I care enough about my cars that I have a page on them. Nothing fancy, since my knowledge on cars is pretty limited(I'm a ECE major, not an ME major =), basically just a few descriptions and pictures, so check them out if you want to.

gentlemen, start your engines

As I mentioned earlier, I've only driven a few cars regularly, and they are, in no particular order:
- a 90 Acura Integra LS
- a 92 Honda Civic ESi, and
- a 99 Mitsubishi Lancer MR(facelift version).
- a 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST

All 4 were/are slightly modified, but nothing heavy.

integra! back of integra

I had the Acura when I was In Michigan. It was actually a hand me down from my brother, who was the previous owner, but its a pretty decent car. I prepped it up with new tires/rims, a new exhaust system (everything from, but excluding the headers, to the muffler/exhaust tip), a red Acura emblem and a new sound system. Hmmn, I think that's it. Since my graduation and leaving the good 'ol US of A, its been back in the possesion of my brother, who'd relegated it to his "Winter Car" since he had since acquired a Toyota MR2 Turbo. However, he totalled the car after that, so now its gone. *sigh*. Rest in Peace Integra. May you not end up in a thousand coke cans

Night side shot Night interior shot Dyno Sheet

The Honda Civic I've only driven briefly while I was in Singapore for the holidays. It was my mom's previous car, modded by my brother when he was still in Singapore. I don't exactly know what he did to it, but AFAIK it involved new rims/tires, exhaust system, lowering springs, short shifter and air filter. I don't have any pictures of it unfortunately, so use your imagination...its white. Anyway, the Honda gave way to the Lancer, which I was driving in Singapore. Its almost pure stock (for more information check out the dyno sheet above), but pretty quick, as long as you don't expect it to be a SiR killer. Well, at least its kinda quick when only I'm in the car. My passengers all need to lose some weight I guess. It also has an aggressive exterior and a reasonably well furnished interior. I've only taken 2 worthy pictures of it which you see here, the rest were too blur. You can see some manufacturer specifications of the Lancer MR below(specs in italics are self-measured readings pertaining to my own vehicle setup only):

Eclipse 1 Eclipse 2 Eclipse 3 Eclipse 4 Eclipse 5 Eclipse 6 Eclipse 7
Eclipse 8 Eclipse 9 Eclipse 10 Eclipse 11 Eclipse 12 Eclipse 13 Eclipse 14

I'm currently driving a Silver 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST. This is my first turbo car and the most powerful one I've owned so far. I bought it pretty recently, and I'm still getting a feel of it. The ride's way rough compared to pretty much everything I've driven before, until I changed the 1.6" drop Eibach Sportline springs/18" low profile tires to a more sane 1.2" drop EibachPro Kit 1.2" springs with Tokico shocks. Even then, I still feel every pothole (and believe me there are plenty to go around in Ithaca) I drive over. Anyway, I don't have much info on it right now, but pics of it have been taken as you can see above (after a nice, desperately needed carwash). More pictures will be taken in the future, particularly interior shots, once I clean up the interior a bit. I'll post somemore when I have the time to take to snap a few shots of it. OK let me rephrase that, I'll post them when I bother =)

So I got my affordable dream car...not the NSX, but the Eclipse (I know, big difference :) ). It's not a red GSX, but a silver GST for the price I got it for is pretty swell too. Besides, the Lancer was Silver too :)

that's it

That's it for now folks, unless I happen to acquire an NSX or something =)
